Day Support Service


ABOUT THE SERVICE

Day support provides children and young people in care, or those living with
foster families, with a safe, structured and supportive environment during the
day. It gives them the opportunity to build confidence, learn new skills and
enjoy positive experiences outside of their usual home or school setting.

 


WHO IT'S FOR

Children and young people who are currently in foster placements, children in residential care, young people needing additional support due to social, emotional or behavioural needs.

 


WHY IT MATTERS

Day support is designed to promote stability and wellbeing for children in care, provide consistency and routine, help young people develop resilience and feel included, support carers by sharing the responsibility of care in a meaningful wsions designed to encourage learning and fun.

  • Social skills development: opportunities to build friendships and positive peer relationships.
  • Practical life skills: support with independence, communication and problem-solving.
  • Safe space: caring staff trained to provide nurturing, trauma-informed support and coping mechanisms.
  • Respite for carers: reliable daytime support to give foster carers or care staff a break, while ensuring children are safe and engaged.
  • Wellbeing Centre with heated swimming pool, yoga and meditation studio.

 

Day Support SEND Service

Relationship-led support that empowers young people to thrive.

We support children and young people with autism, ADHD and neurodiversity, learning disabilities, sensory and communication needs, SEMH and additional support needs.

We help young people understand and manage challenges including:

  • Online safety and social media
  • Peer pressure and bullying
  • Emotional regulation
  • Risk awareness and resilience
